The Magical Child Foundation, Inc. is an educational non-profit foundation established in January 1984 to contribute to global peace through purposeful play. Founder, Scout Cloud Lee, Ed.D., is a renowned motivational speaker, author, singer/songwriter, and trainer. She was recently a finalist on the CBS reality show, Survivor Vanuatu. The Foundation's President, Carol Ann Washburn, Ed.D. is an inspirational speaker, communication-teaming specialist and author. While immersing herself in the rich culture of Hawai'i she researched the communication gifts and challenges inherent in diversity. Their work has been featured on major television networks and radio programs throughout the United States and internationally.

The Magical Child Foundation is committed to promoting peace by teaching the value of diversity through direct experience. Participants cite programs as FUN and producing lasting positive results. Research has shown a number one variable contributing to high achievement, success and performance excellence, is the ability to play like a child at whatever we do, and have fun in life (Gunn, 1976, 1978). It is said of people reaching the highest levels of success that, "They perceive life as fun and are perceived as being fun and childlike."

To this extent, we:

• Power global peace, global exchange and global celebration.
• View all peoples of the world as one human family.
• Promote and model stewardship, respect, and love for our environment.
• Respect our earth as a living
• Strive to recover balance and appropriate sustainable  technologies
  and practices in our total, global ecology.

We believe our action today can insure a sustainable future for future generations. We intend that our decisions and actions serve all children. For all of us, we act to co-create a world thriving in balance for the benefit of all.

The Magical Child Foundation headquarters is located in Oklahoma and Kauai, Hawaii. On- site educational offerings range from ½ day trainings to 7 day encampments. Other non-profit organizations, schools, and civic clubs utilize the Magical Child Foundation facilities at reduced rates. The Magical Child Foundation donates this site for selected programs that serve peace, youth and people with special needs.

In addition, Dr. Lee, Dr. Washburn and other representatives travel nationally and internationally to promote the mission of the Foundation through speaking engagements and training sessions.
