Lodge of the Stronghearts

The Lodge of the Stronghearts focuses on the heart of leadership and relationship skills. Teaching is based on the principles of our ancestors. We move forward by reflecting on wisdom that has proven tried and true throughout the ages.

Camps are designed for corporate executives, youth, families and groups of individuals. Whatever the group, all participants will come into direct contact with the gifts and laws of nature. These laws translate into values that bind companies, teams, communities and families together. While living close to the Earth and to one another individuals develop leadership and relationship skills essential for the 21st century.

During this 1- 5 days encampment you will embark on a journey of self-discovery that is fun, inspiring and life changing. Utilizing a unique experiential and educational program that is based on principles handed down through many cultures, this camp is a model for living with integrity in the 21st century. During this camp you experience the power of living close to our Earth and each other. Earth ecology is modeled and woven throughout all of the teachings, as we practice recycling and earth etiquette in all that we do.

Through the use of experiential challenges, instructional games, drumming circles, high games, storytelling, ritual and honoring ceremonies, leadership is empowered and cooperation is heightened. Each individual is acknowledged for their own strengths, as we consciously honor and respect ourselves, one another and the Earth.

We revisit the principles of our ancestors that have allowed them to survive into the 21st century with a deep reverence for all of life. We remember that whatever we do to any other thing on Earth, we do to ourselves. As we practice a style of leadership and empowerment that respects each thing equally we gain the benefits of respecting diversity.

We practice communication skills that provide realistic ways to reduce conflict and improve cooperation. Our differences allow us to see in all directions. Scientific research concludes that human beings are 99.9% the same, and during this camp we relate to each other as ONE FAMILY ON EARTH as we celebrate our connection. We understand with our hearts as well as our heads as we value genuine courtesy, willingness to share, and optimism.

In the spirit of adventure we face challenging outdoor events that increase our focus, flexibility, fun and balance while we receive the rich rewards of trusting both our selves and others. We face our fears and limiting beliefs and step beyond them. "High Games" and other experiential activities provide opportunities for visioning, problem-solving and cooperation. We make treasures that symbolize our dreams and gifts.

We spend time alone and renew our vision, energy and commitments. While drumming around a council fire, making music and sharing stories with one another, we become one family...one heart beating. We purify ourselves in the wind and the sun. We laugh, learn and live together. We return home feeling enlivened, optimistic, empowered and willing to share our highest self. We pass it on. We are Leaders, led by Spirit.
